September schedule for Lyrical and Contemporary

 

Lyrical

As our competition lines grow, it is hard to precinct how many dancers will want to be a part of the lyrical program. We would like to take the month of September to see what enrollment for the program looks like and then we can make a more informed decision on where to place dancers into the 3 levels of lyrical classes that we have. Every dancer that wants to be in lyrical WILL be placed into a class. If your dancer is interested in Lyrical, please register them for one of the following sessions.

 

Wednesdays September 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. $80.00

Dancers in Shimmers/Twinkles/Moonbeams 6:15-7:15

Once we have assessed the dancers, we will let you know by Friday October 1st which class to register them for. At that time, the registration fee and commitment fee will be due and it will be included in the October tuition payment. The monthly payment for lyrical for the 2026-2027 dance year will be  $120.00.

Contemporary

 

Our contemporary program is one that dancers must go through try-out to see if they are ready for the program. Dancers need to be able to execute special skills, have depth and intention in their movements, understand the importance of facial expression, be able to do partner work confidently and have the strength to execute some of the floorwork. We need to feel like they can handle not only the memorization of the choreography but also be able to handle the extra responsibility that goes with having an extra class dance. Dancers must have at least one year in a lyrical class in order to try out for contemporary. 

 

The month of September will be the class trial days. 

All contemporary trial dancers will have class from 7:15-8:15  for the month of September. The September trial classes and the October try-out day will be $100.00 for the 5 lessons. 

 

Evaluations will take place on October 7th. Dancers will be notified by October 10th if they have/have not made it into the program.

 

Regular contemporary classes will start on October 14th. The monthly price for contemporary will be $136.00. That will include tuition, costume payment and competition fees for 4 competitions. The first month tuition will also include the $30 registration fee and the $50 commitment fee.
